VIPKID Teachers Wanted is a Facebook support group for those going through the hiring process with VIPKID. The admins of the group are Penny Davis, Gayla Presley Smith, and Susan Fellows, who are all experienced VIPKID teachers and hiring coaches.
We formed this group to help new teachers successfully navigate the hiring process. We all went through the process and understand what VIPKID is looking for and want to pass that on to you.
The overall hire rate for VIPKID is 6% of those who apply. BUT, in our group, for those who use a referral code of one of our admins and follow all the way through the process, the hire rate is greater than 85-90%!!! That’s the difference you get by having a referring teacher who studies and knows the hiring process versus using some random referral code or maybe an acquaintance that teaches but doesn’t do a lot of referring. We are pros at this and have the track record to prove it.
If you’ve already applied with another referring teacher, you can’t change your referral unless you completely reapply with a new email and phone number. You are still welcome there, but we just can’t give you the one-on-one help we give to our referrals.

You will need a headset with a mute button and a noise-canceling microphone. I use a Logitech H390 that I got at Wal-Mart for about $25. Any gaming headset works great too. Do not try to use earbuds. They do not pick up your voice well enough.
